Put on a mask in Looty Bay and you are a Criminal until you leave the city. Die like that and your inventory is gone; surrender and the cop takes only your bag.

Check what you keep before you pull on the mask
Early Access — 4 November 2026
A field file for Kefir's free crime sandbox: loss rules, heists, cops, the power pyramid and the weekly wipe, written as rulings you can check mid-run.
ROB RUN is a free-to-play crime sandbox from Kefir for 64-bit Windows 10 and later. The Steam store promises 5,000 players around you, and every cop and criminal is a real person. Each wipe you start as a Hobo fresh out of prison, staying at Lenny's motel with no cash, then pick a path: heists, cargo runs, base production, police work or territory.
Early Access opened on 4 November 2026 and Kefir expects it to last about 6 to 12 months. The game stays free; the only purchases are cosmetics bought with B-Coins, which do not touch stats, balance or progression.

Three ways to walk through Looty Bay
Without a mask you are a Civilian. A Civilian killed in the city keeps bag and gear, and the Looty Bay Bank only opens accounts for Civilians.
Enlist at the Looty Bay Police Station when slots are open to get standard gear and a patrol car. Cops are paid from confiscations, arrests and bribes.
The desert is lawless: any player can try to kill you there, and dying in it costs all your loot whatever your role.
